Housing and Services
for Veterans and their Families

VETERAN PROJECTS AND SERVICES

AmeriCare’s target population consists of homeless and low-income Veterans, service-disabled Veterans, justice-involved Veterans, minority and women Veterans, Veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI or other combat injuries, and substance abuse.

FUNDING

AmeriCare’s projects and services are funded by private and corporate donations, state and federal grants and contributions from military and Veteran service organizations.

HOUSING PROJECT

Many problems affecting Veterans and their families—such as unemployment or underemployment, justice involvement, substance abuse, mental and physical maladies—either find their genesis in, or are exacerbated by homelessness.

VETERANS JUSTICE PROJECT

One of the most serious and under-reported problems for Veterans is involvement in the criminal justice system. This project is aimed at assisting justice-involved Veterans and their families with legal and health care advocacy, bail subsidies, VA benefit claims advocacy and re-entry support.
